Can I just tell you that my first cycle of chemo has been, to say the least, eventful? I have been neutropenic, grew a Wildebeest, drained the Wildebeest, toted around Carl for a week, and well, now I’m having some blood pressure issues.
That’s right, the blood pressure that was always the sticky wicket during my pregnancies is baaaaa-aaaack and its being persnickety. So, I spent last night in the county jail, once again. Okay… We’ve already established, not the county jail but somehow it’s so much funnier to call the hospital the county jail.
After a visit with my rock star primary care doc, Dr. saxena, yesterday, and pressures that were far too high, I ended up getting a ticket to not pass go, not collect $200, and head to UNMC again for the deluxe spa treatment.
But seriously…
These little creations are in my spa-spital room. Because as I’ve said before, I’m full-time fancy.
So, the slammer, the spa-spital, the clink, whatever you wanna call it, that’s my story. So the husband is single-parenting it and I’m lounging at the resort. Because, cancer.
My blood pressures are looking much better. I got another water jug to my name. We’re hoping that chemo is still on for this week. And I was back to my silly-joke-making self last Eve as the hubs and I had a hospital date night {because when you have 3 under 6, you take the date nights where you can get them}.
We will see what today brings… Because as I said recently, I rarely have a dull day… But here’s hoping for just a wee bit of dull during the next chemo round. Just a wee bit.
