If you haven’t gathered by now, I have a rather odd sense of humor. So, when I found out the boobs were coming off the Brehm, I decided to give the girls a proper sendoff. Not only would it be a way that I could say thank you to so many of the women who have been cooking, and praying, and taking the kids, and sending me emails, and everything else under the sun as I endured chemo… it would also make it possible to not be a complete emotional wreck for this surgery week.
Have you noticed I like to live in denial… Goodness Giveaways to get through chemo, partying with friends to get through surgery…
But anyway, I talked to two of my friends, Chaley and Molly, who both are small in-home boutique-sters, and asked if they would be interested in literally, setting up shop at my house for a night of shopping, boozing and boobies. They both said that the 22nd worked for them and BOOM… BonBoobVage was set… and for my bday, nonetheless.
I sent out an evite {if I forgot you, I blame the chemo… I couldn’t even remember the boys’ names yesterday… not sure I remembered every person for the invite list…}
So Monday was party day. And I hustled and bustled about getting things together.
You know how you know it’s gonna be a great day? When you get the vacuum out for a partay at your place and it screeches and hisses at you and your realize, your vacuum is in need of a haircut after 8 years. And that it has more hair than you have on your head. Ewww.
and also helped to make the “palace” presentable.
And my badass friend, Karin, made this cheesecake and the scotcheroos. Deeeeelish.
A photo spot for shenanigans was perfectly set by my OCD friends, Missy and Kacie, the day prior. And I love this custom wrapping paper from Tiny Prints. It says “Love Ashli” in the pink lettering.
