Hey, you… yes, you. I am so thankful that you stopped in to meet me. Let me tell you just enough about you to keep you wanting more.
Who am I kidding? I can’t do that. Brevity is not my thing. Which you already know if you are here. But hey, as long as I’m upfront about that, I’m not gonna have to apologize later for my long-ish posts that wax poetic about motherhood, marriage, cancer, and other life stuff.
This picture pretty much sums up my modeling career and my hat choices.
I am Ashli Brehm {pronounced Brame. Not Bremm. Hence the blog name, “Baby on the BREHM”} a low-thirties mama {I can own that for just a smidgen longer so I’m rollin’ with that, homies}. I am married to a guy that I often call “husby” aka Adam. He is the cat’s freaking pajamas. Just ask me.
We are the parents of three boys. The Oldest. The Middlest. And the Littlest. AKA Barrett. Jonah. Harrison. Currently 8, 6, and 4.
We live in middle America. Nebraska, to be exact. And adore it. So stop your corn jokes now. I love corn. And riding cows to work.
I have a PR and non-profit background. And I started dabbling in blogging when I was pregnant with the Oldest in 2008. I have dabbled in working part-time with children and currently stay home with my three hooligans. I also happen to have dabbled in breast cancer recently and said peace out to my pair to in February 2016 {and am also now cancer-free!}. I am currently writing my first book, picking up more and more speaking opportunities, and laughing all the way. Honestly, I’m just really into Dabbling.
Things I love: My family and close friends {immensely. intensely. truly. madly. deeply.} Ellen because GOODNESS. James Taylor, Amos Lee, Ingrid Michaelson, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Ray LaMontagne… okay really ANY music. Funny people. StoryPeople. Anne Lammott. Big Mugs. Brunch. Stories and the people that go with them. Writing and oversharing. Soft leather handbags. Momming. Wifing. Living. Singing. People who are real. People who get it. And GOODNESS.
Things I loathe: Wasabi. People who take themselves too seriously. My children talking back. Judgy moms.
What started as a motherhood blog has morphed into: “The Complete Unfiltered Truths of My World” and I’m pretty much good with that at this point. I like real. I dig authenticity. And I am a well-known captain of the Crazy Train.
I hope you’ll stop by often, ride the train with me, leave me a comment, share away, and let me get to know you.
Other places to find my writings: Washington Post, Scary Mommy, Her View From Home, Omaha.com, and It’s Really 10 Months: Special Delivery (and more…).
