2O weeks have already come and gone and Baby Brehm is really shaping up … to the size of a small cantaloupe. Let me just mention that pregnancy has really got me viewing fruits and veggies in a whole new light. When each item you eat makes you think of eating your baby, it really takes the fun out of the feast. An exciting turn in the pages of pregnancy is that Snowball can apparently get a taste of the good life as the food I eat begins to flavor the fluid (eeeewww). So, my newest plan is to eat only broccoli, cream cheese, sour cream, milk and mayonnaise. Adam loathes each one of the aforementioned foods and I would like for our little one to love them. However, due to my recent extended stay at the heartburn hotel, I think I will forgo said plan and stick to tums and a mild menu.
Here are my top 5 faves related to being a member of the preggo party:
- Strangers are immediately sweeter upon discovering that I am knocked up. I have made many a friend in the checkout line since I began blooming with baby.
- The fashions these days for pregnant chicks are so form-fitting which I find absolutely adorable. Prior to being pg, had I worn things that accentuated my gut, perhaps I would have heard a guffaw. BUT being 20 weeks with baby, my friends want to rub my belly and talk to me in something resembling baby talk and this is absolutely fine by me.
- Minus a few little issues here and there, my skin has been nearly flawless (ok, as flawless as my strange combo skintype will get) since reproduction revved up.
- I chose a cute tent (aka-maternity shirt) this morning and to my surprise, it was busting at the boobs. I am sure you are tired of my prose on late puberty but each day it is as if my precious preteen prayers have finally been realized.
- Picking a name for a human is an incredibly fun exercise. I find it to be stressful but also a fun little joy that comes along with being pregnant … picking a lifetime of identity for a person (not just a pet).
