I can’t help but be thankful for each of the last 10 months.
At times, it feels like this moment happened a lifetime away. This moment where he was itty bitty.
But then, I hold him on my chest and feel the same heart beating back that has been there all along. And it feels like that moment could have been yesterday. Because his breath rising and falling feels just the same as it did from the very start.
You are Smiley McSmilerton. Late afternoons are not your jam. Two slow-coming chompers are marking their territory and making their presence known. You love any piece of paper you can get your little mitts on. You and Diet Coke cans do not get along. You army crawl around the house to keep up with your biggers. You’re starting to have definite opinions about your car seat. You sit with confidence. You consistently sleep through the night {hallelujah!}. You are back on a bottle {ditto on the hallelujah!}. And you fit just right on mama’s hip.
Happy ten months, Mr. HarrBear. You’ve come a long way, babe. And still so far to grow.
