Whew. It was a day.
In just this day we accomplished hair cutting, house closing, school registering, moving, and pseudo-parenting of three children. And we even met a few of our new neighbors… As my children ran outside in their boxer briefs. Because why wouldn’t we just welcome them to the Brehm reality immediately.
A few snaps from the day…
Always in character, the middlest brings the noise and the funk no matter where we are headed.
The final walk-through went swimmingly.
And the biggest boy seemed even bigger in this space.
The boys explored nearly every inch of the house.
And decided the purple bedroom might be their fave. And will make for a great playroom. At least for a year or two.
The littlest kept himself busy. And most definitely prefers to have wide open spaces.
And found his way up and down. And up and down. And up and down.
The cousins stopped over to see the new digs, Auntie Kim, too, and grandma and grandpa B hung with us all day and helped us wrangle, so pizza on the floor on our finest China was our payment for all.
And though there were many happenings in between, we toasted to new beginnings with sparkly Easter cups. Because half of our belongings are still in boxes. Many of our big items are still at our other home. And we are classy as all get out.
So, last night was a last. And tonight, is a first. Life is cool like that.
Hello, new adventure. We are excited to get to know you.
