Hey guys… I am over at Her View today so check my words out over there, k?
Also… Great news to share ::
After my four year old drove me to take a swig from a bottle of wine this morn, the day started looking up. Like way up, people. I had labs drawn this morn {which, were stellar!} and also had an exam with my rock star oncologist, Dr. Tandra, at Nebraska Medicine aaaaaand… By clinical examination {feeling and looking} it would seem that my tumor is both smaller in size and less tough than when we started this whole scene. After 1/3 of my chemo treatments, y’all! Holllllla!
That news quite literally had me jumping for joy!!!
Photo credit goes to the awesome front desk staff who I roped into taking this photo. And got it on the first try. |
Now, to clarify, there is nothing pathological to confirm this. So don’t get too high on your horses. But it is very possible that we are already seeing positive results from the chemo and that my body is responding the way we would hope. And honestly, I trust it because Dr. Tandra kicks ass and doesn’t say anything just to say it. He’s not a sugar coater {but he is oh so sweet. See what I did there?}. So for today, I am thankful for chemo that seems to be doing what they want it to, and God, rock star doctors and modern medicine for taking this cancer to task. I’ve never been so excited about my tiny boobs!!
We never know what tomorrow will bring so we must celebrate today’s wins and be thankful to be breathing for them!!
So go read my Her View From Home article so Mama can get paid and after work, go have a drink, a hot toddy, or a shirley temple to celebrate my shrinking boob! You absolutely must. I’m forcing you.
Happy happy Friday!! For me, it’s more like FRI-YAY!!!
