You guys. There’s a lot of crazy going on out in the world. Like in the big, broad world. A whole lot. So I wanted to share some goodness. Because that is the one thing I know how to do. Share the goodness. So sharers gonna share share share share share.
The way that I have felt since my second treatment has been by and large, so much better than what occurred following my first cycle. Part of this, I attribute to the fact that I received less of each of the chemo meds this time, and also, I received a shot called Neulasta this time around. Neulasta helps boost your neutrophils in order to prevent people from getting neutropenic {that’s what it’s called when your counts go crashing down down down like mine did last time}. And you can’t receive the shot until you prove that you need the boost. Additionally, I’ve been sleeping better and I’ve been packing on some LBs with some Isagenix shakes my friend sent me {I don’t think the normal intention for those is to drink a whole one along with three breakfast entrees so I don’t want anyone at Isagenix mad that I’m promoting it for weight gain, mmm k? Mmm k.}. And I’ve been much more cautious about crowds and germs because while I don’t enjoy being a hermit, I do think it’s gonna do me good for the time I’m in treatment. But mostly, you guys, I haven’t felt like death which has been a welcome change!
Ack. So as normal, I digress. But because I have felt so great from Thursday on, I made some headway on my upcoming Holiday project. I was going to wait until “drop day” to tell you all about it but I decided that maybe people wanted a dose of goodness so I’m gonna give you a few preliminary deets.

If you’ve been following me here for awhile, you might remember that last year, I did gift guides for kids of my kids’ ages at the time:
and it was fun but I wanted to step up my game this year. So guess what?! I hand-selected my faves to put on the lists this year, will provide the places to buy them, how to get them by Christmas Day, and what the items and retailers are on Black Friday AND THEN… I will be vlogging about them on my Facebook page one by one each day to give the items away. I mean, I’m no Oprah you guys but I haven’t been this excited since the hogs ate my brother and I got his shoes. Because you are going to help me by nominating your girlfriends to win each day! I am so freaking pumped, you guys. Not just because of the fact that this has been a great project for me that isn’t cancer but because the people who I’ve asked for the items are giving them willingly… because they are GOOOOOOOOOOOOD people!
And the best best best part… and another thing I’m gonna need your help with… is that the kids gift guide items that are donated are going to be given in a big basket to a family YOU nominate who has a babe in the NICU over Christmas. Because once you spend a Christmas with a baby in the NICU, you will forever feel for the fams who are in the same spot. So. Cat’s out of the bag, friends. Holiday gift giveaways are happenin’!

And for further proof that I am not a sellout and indeed, obsessed with these items, here’s proof of me at the Kolache Factory, awaiting the sausage+gravy goodness all wrapped into a little dough that can only have been crafted by the hands of angels. Because it’s heavenly.
The whole fam agrees. If you can’t go to Wilber to get a Kolache, at least you can go to 120th and Maple in O Town {and yes, the Middlest is wearing pajamas. Because it’s a day that ends in y}.
