Apparently Goliath is a-comin. And it’s gonna be a rager. That’s right. A snowfest is headed our way. Which is really only funny because we just got an unpredicted 7ish inches just the other day. Sooo… whatcha got Goliath?
Well, my brother gave me a great idea the other day as we were chatting about New Year’s Eve. He showed me a pic of a little “fun by the hour” that he did a few years ago with his boys to ring in the New Year. And I thought, “gee, I’m gonna do that this year! I looks so fun!”
And then.
Goliath.
So, I decided to give it a whirl tomorrow with the impending snowy sitch.
And if it works in any way, shape, or form tomorrow, maybe… just maybe, I’ll do one each day for winter break. Because a little mystery always adds to the merriment.
Here’s the breakdown… I made a sheet {totally not fancy. Totally so my style. I even messed up my writing on the first side and just flipped it over and used the back. Because trees are being killed, people.}. The sheet has times of the day on the lefthand side and then, underneath that black and white washi tape are different ideas for each hour. Things that won’t take the whole hour. But things that will add a little spice to the day. Then, I covered them with washi tape so the boys can peel them away with each hour.
It’s worth a shot, right? I mean, given my past luck as a Pinteresty mama {let’s just all acknowledge that “The best broccoli ever” actually turns out looking like a burnt forest, mmm k?}, I have very little faith in the execution of said plan but the boys will like finding places to stick the Washi tape regardless {Also, I love Washi tape. It’s a problem.}. Winning! And when we’re not doing Snow Day Surprises, I fully plan that they will get along like the cherubs that they are and of course, play quietly and amicably in their newly revamped toy room {story to come later this week}. Because children always do what you plan for them. It’s that simple.
So what’s on dock for your snowy day? Staying in? Heading to back to the grind? Or, snow angels comin’ atcha hot?
This week I plan to recap our Christmas adventures, share our new room, and maybe even unveil a new project! We shall seeeee-eeee!
