I’m a dot com!
What started out as babyonthebrehm.blogspot.com about 8.5 years ago has resulted in 750ish posts of my life and times as a mama, a woman, a wife, a human, and most recently, a cancer patient, among many other things. And I felt it was time. Time for a true website. And the hubs was on board.
What’s the big deal? you might be asking yourself. Well… now we actually own my site. We own my content. And, that means I am also paying to use this platform.
Blogger was free and I was a holdout. Loyal to the platform I started with. Resistant to change, per the uzh. But I have bigger dreams for baby on the Brehm. Dreams of book writing. And goodness spreading. And growing to do more with mamas and humans. And so, I’m taking a leap. I’m leaning into fear as my friend Katie so eloquently put it.
I’m paying for a site. I’ve re-branded a bit {thanks to The Anastasia Co. for my new logo… I love it!}. And I’ve totally re-formatted {thank you to my computer-savvy husband for all his work} on a purchased template. And I’ve switched to wordpress. Big changes for this hobby blogger who doesn’t even call herself a writer.
For a gal who is not great with change. Who still wears jeans from American Eagle circa 2007 and refuses to acknowledge that Jessica Day was gone for the first part of New Girl this season. For this gal… this change was BIG. Out of my comfort zone. Scary.
We only get one life here on earth to really just live the crap out of our dreams. And there’s no time like the present. So, welcome to the new Babyonthebrehm.com.
Same girl. Same writing. Fresh look. We will still be doing some tinkering with all the bells and whistles and I will be working to see how to make it best work for me but for today, I feel like I’m checking a dream off my list.
So, I have to say thanks to YOU. That’s right… YOU. Without you reading my words, I couldn’t even think about this leap. Without platforms like Her View From Home, I couldn’t have any {if even just 20 to 30 bucks a month} funds to pay for some of the cost to this dream. And without readers, my words would just linger in the great abyss that is the World Wide Web.
Thanks for helping this girl dream a little bigger today. And for coming along for the ride.

It already feels like home to me. I hope that it will soon to you, too.
