Oh hey there all you tired mamas. All you busy business women. All you ladies who are wishing for some maxxin’ and relaxin’. This post. THIS is for you.
I met the nicest people last Thursday. Their names were Erin and Jessica. And they are just two of the sweet faces you can find at Sculpt Contemporary Cosmetic Surgery in Omaha, Nebraska.
EEEEEEEEK. I know what you’re thinking… “Ashli. Did you go under the knife again?” No no, my friends. My boobs are the only thing that have been augmented as of late. And while I have no issue with people doing what they wanna do, I don’t know if I’m up for more knives anytime in the near future. BUT Sculpt and Mama B are teaming up on a fun Galentine’s Giftaway package for a new mama. And I am again, so stinkin’ excited to get to be a conduit for the goodness of people like Erin, Jessica, and Dr. Stanley! “But Ashli, what on earth is a Galentine’s Giftaway?” Oh my goodness you guys, you ask the very best questions. For real.
So Galentine’s Day is a way to tell your Gal Pals just how much you love them. Because why oh why should the love just be for your sweetums? So, this Giftaway is going to be brought to you by Sculpt and a few others in the cast of characters and it’s going to be gifted to a new mama {that means one who has a babe of a year or under}.
And the first part of the Giftaway… A Pelleve treatment!!
Uhhhh, Ashli. What on earth is Pelleve? Is it a dance move? A french pastry? A foreign land for all of the Pelles?
Well, let me just tell you because y’all, thanks to Sculpt, yours truly did some recon to check out Pelleve: A non-surgical skin tightening treatment. And seriously. It. Is. Fun.
Let me walk you through it. You walk into Sculpt and there are happy happy faces at the front desk to meet you. And then, they give you way nicer water glasses than your children would ever allow you to day drink from during the day.
Erin {who is the Practice Administrator} was kind enough to walk me around the clinic and I love love love how the exam/clinic rooms look like a cozy retreat.
We chatted about all of the services, treatments and surgeries offered. From spa services like facials to tummy tucks, they offer a gamut of cosmetic procedures and treatments. Dr. Stanley is a cosmetic surgeon. This is different than a plastic surgeon as the degree and program are different for each title. So for instance, the people who did my reconstruction {Dreams MedSpa} are plastic surgeons and do further procedures like reconstructions and such. Dr. Stanley does not perform reconstructions. I asked a million questions as we looked at the machines for Ultherapy, Genesis, and Trusculpt, among others. I asked about Botox and other fillers. I asked about surgery vs treatments. And Erin and Dr. Stanley answered EVERY single question {quite patiently, I might add}. Because you know how inquisitive I can be…
So. Here’s the deal. Pelleve rocks. My socks. And my slippers. And that’s saying something.
I l-o-v-e facials. I do. I have not had many in my life but every time I’ve had one I have loved how refreshed my skin is. For Christmas, my friend and fave facial gal, Joy, and her boss, Tara, at Moxie Salon, were kind enough to gift facials for friends. And I love that. I love the idea of gals getting to hang. And relax. And pamper. I love the idea of sloughing off the dryness that happens to our Midwestern skin in the winter months. I love the way going to a relaxing spa, taking time for you, can actually transform a little part of your soul for the day… or the week… or the year.
And I truly LOVE the Pelleve experience.
So here’s what it is. Jessica, the smiliest, darlingest gal, who is a master at aesthetics, greeted me with her flawless skin and I thought, “yep. if she has that skin, I’ll let her touch mine.” And then I took a pic of their brochure. Because well, it looks so nice.
I changed into a comfy towel robe ditty, positioned myself on the spa table and snapped a selfie because blogging first, right?
Jessica and Erin came in {for the purposes of this blog post} and we got to work on the process. It started out with a facial. And then, came the Pelleve part.
The facial itself was a sweet treat. Literally. It started with a few steps using Revision products and my face immediately felt less dehydrated. And then, my very favorite part? One of the steps included Jessica painting my face with something that smelled just. like. chocolate. cake. batter. Yes. No joke. I wanted to lick my own face.
And as if the facial weren’t enough, the Pelleve was up next. Jessica used a small roller ball transmitter {pretty sure I just made that name up. But there is a roller ball. And it does transmit the radio frequency.} wand {again, I’m pretty sure that’s Mama Brehm lingo} and rubbed it over and over and over again all over my face and neck. It felt like a hot stone massage, on my face. It felt so so so relaxing and gooooood. Seriously. I could have laid there for about 4 hours. I mean, I would have been sleeping and drooling by that point but I think Jessica would have been cool with that.
What does a hot stone massage feely thingy through a small roller ball transmitter wand do to your face, Ashli? Seriously. You are just nailing the questions, friend.
What the Pelleve treatment does is… tighten your skin, repair the elasticity of the skin, produce new collagen, and gets into the deep tissue for an overall smoothing effect. And it keeps working over time. For six months, it rejuvenates and re-happifies the skin {yes. Re-happifies is my word. Not Jessica’s or Erin’s but I think they’d approve}. So here’s my take: If you wanna look like Joan Rivers, get a face lift. If you want to look like yourself with glowing, happier skin, try out Pelleve treatments.
I had Erin and Jessica take pics of all of it so you guys can see that it wasn’t invasive, scary, painful, or questionable. It was honest to goodness fun, painless, and seriously pampering. I felt guilty getting to do it, in fact! Lucky. But guilty.
This was before.
During… look… one side of my face is actually higher than the other. For realsies, friends. And just happier skin all around. As you look at the photo, my left side is the side that was done first. The other yet to come. I noticed right away that my left eye was brighter:).
Close-ups. You’re welcome.
Yes. There is a bat in the cave. Sort of. That’s the brownie batter. I was saving it for later.
And after, Jessica and me, happy campers. And if you’re wondering if I had my hair done… obvs ;). Ha! But really. I think the best thing of all for me would be to not have to put on makeup ever and I think that facials, Pelleve, and other things help skin rehydrate, stimulate cell turnover, and make your skin feel better. And the reality to me, something I’ve decided recently since treatment, is that I want to take care of my whole self — body, mind, face:)… all of it… because I plan to be around for awhile:).
Would I do Pelleve again? Would I recommend it? YAAAAS. My skin has been taking my moisturizer so much better since. My face feels more hydrated. My skin is tighter but oddly, feels less tight because it is so well moisturized. And the staff was absolutely so so kind… from the front desk experience to Dr. Stanley, all were personable and welcoming.
I asked Jessica what the very best things to do post-Pelleve were. You know what she said? No, Ashli, we weren’t there. You’re right. The best things to continuously care for your skin — WATER. SLEEP. SUNSCREEN. Yep. Yep. Yep. Isn’t Jessica great?
It was just a lovely afternoon. And one of you deserves that.
Oh wait… because Sculpt ROCKS, not only will the new mama get a Pelleve treatment BUT ALSO, a dermaplane treatment beforehand. Ohhhhh… say what? That’s right… they will also be giving it to the nominator!!! YEP YEP YEP!!! I don’t even know the value but I assume it’s somewhere around $1500 for both!
Wowza.
Wowza.
Wowza. I looooooooove the goodness of nice people like Dr. Stanley and Sculpt.
So now that I’ve walked you through it all, shown you all my moles. Given you closeups of my real skin, completely unfiltered or unedited because I believe in realness. And told you my review of Pelleve, could you do me a favor and start nominating your gal pals for the Giftaway? Tomorrow I will share the rest of the package that will be for the Mama but again, two friends will enjoy the Pelleve thanks to Sculpt.
So here’s the deal. Clearly, I received the treatment. I didn’t pay for it. That’s the truth. But the opinions, experiences, and review in this are alllllll mine and in no way because of me getting to try it out in return. I warned Erin that I would be straight up real.
I am excited, too, that I will have another partnership post with Sculpt in the next few months as well as one about the best skincare treatments in your 30s because I think that’s legit good info to share. If you have any questions about Pelleve or Sculpt, toss em at me, yo.
Go go goodness!!
