I’m so excited! And I just can’t hide it!
Okay. So I’m not like leaping up and down over here or anything that requires a whole lot of energy… I mean, I’ve not even had my coffee yet.
BUT.
I’m pretty cautiously excited. Are you ever cautiously excited? I feel like I’ve spent a lot of my adult life being that way. Like, if I were 12, I’d be ridiculously ecstatic but the adult that has jumped into my skin is in my mind saying,
Now ashli. Slow your roll. This is an opportunity. And it might not work out.
Agh! But what if it does?!
So TODAY, this girl is gonna be on the radio talking about her blog!
You guys. This is a dream for me. To be able to have an even broader audience to babble about life… this is so stinkin’ fab.
Today is kind of an intro. And then, I might get to keep doing it. And then. It might lead to something a little more permanent. So I’m giving it a whirl because WHY NOT?! Agh!!
So if you want to listen, I will be on 1110 KFAB (it’s on that band that says “AM” in your car. If you’re unfamiliar with that, it stands for Anti-Music. Okay. Just kidding.) around 10:20 am. It will just be a short little snippet so don’t settle in with a blanket and Chardonnay. But we’ll (the host is a smashing guy named Scott who is pretty marv) get to have a little chitter chatter.
“So ashli. Why this station?”
Honestly guys… they asked! I got to do a live remote a few months ago when the Buffett Cancer Center was opening. I met Scott. I met the runners-of-the-station. And they said, “what do you do?” And it started a bit of a convo.
So. What’s my dream? To eventually have a show where I get to talk to humans, hear their stories, be me, and laugh a lot. That’s my dream. But for now… it will just be a fun little time with Scott, talking wherever the wind blows us. Life is so fun, you guys.
Oh. And big thing. If you’ve ever listened to KFAB (it’s an iheartmedia station so anyone anywhere will be able to catch it at some point), you might be thinking, “ashli. You know that this station is a bunch of dudes talking about politics and serious stuff, right?” Yep. I know. And I said right away, “you know I don’t do politics. And I say ‘shit’ and I don’t really get why you think I might be good for radio.” And they said, “yep. We know. And don’t say ‘shit’…”
So. Again… I am not the normal format so I am fully aware that their listeners might hate me and throw tomatoes at their radios or whatever. But. It’s worth a shot. Right? Right.
So. I’d love your ears if you could lend them. You can listen live or tune in on-line later.

So today I am full of cautious excitement for a new bit of an adventure. Because every day is a brand new one. And we just never know what is coming next.
