I did it. I got Fixed. It went way better than I anticipated. It was totally painless. And I am thrilled with the results. I had been thinking about doing it for quite awhile. But a crazy shopping trip out with my three boys put me over the edge. And after hearing from other moms and those of you who read my ramblings, I took the plunge.
That’s right, folksies… I got a Stitch Fix. The other fixing, well, that’s up to the hubsy.
So if you’ve been living in a dark hole, you might ask, what’s a Stitch Fix. It’s a service designed to send you clothes.
Here’s the lowdown:
I went to the Stitch Fix website and completed my profile {I actually started filling out my profile while I was pg…and then I remembered I was gaining weight daily and I didn’t want to buy clothes}. While filling out your profile, you pay 20 bucks, and fill out a bunch of questions about yourself, your style, and such. The stylists use your input and peruse your Pinterest pins to pick out pieces to send {For instance, I pinned the crap out of Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Olivia Palermo, and random girls holding Starbucks cups… because, you know, my life is basically the same as theirs.} Then they send you five items of clothing. You can sign up to receive fixes automatically or you can schedule on your own. The 20 bucks you paid goes toward any purchase you make out of the five items. You have three days within receiving to return all items/any you don’t want to keep {I have to admit that the return system was one reason I was hesitant. I didn’t know how to send a package until I was like 28 years old. No joke. But this comes with a pre-paid return envelope. Holla!}
And I anxiously awaited.
The box arrived.
And I stared at it. I wanted to tear in to that bad boy. But I restrained myself. The whole point of trying a “fix” was to be able to try on clothes in the comfort of my home without my children licking them or telling me I looked like a safari animal. So I waited until they were all tucked in their beddy byes. I took a deep breath, and opened it.
Are you swooning? As a former advertising student, I sure was. The pretty package…ooooh!
So anyway, I unboxed, and found this little ditty…
