If you’ve been following me for more than .4 seconds, you know my obsession with GOODNESS. Because friends, once you’ve done cancer, you get to be clued in on a little secret and that is: THERE IS GOODNESS IN EVERY DAY!
Feeling like you might come up short on experiencing goodness by the time Friday gets here? Well. Fear not, all! Free goodness is comin’ atcha hot courtesy of my favorite local cancer crew.
People might believe that there is no such thing as a free lunch but GUESS WHAT!? There IS free breakfast and it is available this Friday, October 6th, courtesy of Nebraska Medicine. AND… drummmmmrollllllll… YOU’RE INVITED!
Who: You.
What: Free breakfast. Breast cancer info. AND FREE GOODIES. (see. FREE goodness.)
When: Friday, October 6th from 6:30 am to 9:00 am
Where: Nebraska Medicine Village Pointe (111 N 175th St, Omaha, NE 68118) and Shadow Lake Towne Center (72nd St. and Highway 370 in Papillion)
Why: BECAUSE FREE BREAKFAST. And GOODNESS. And taking your health in your own hands.
…
Seriously. I went last year and you do not even have to get out of your car to get the free stuff. You just get to drive while really kind, smiling faces stick their hands out with free items while you move right along. For real. I repeat: YOU DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. It’s basically a mother-of-an-infant dream, right? It’s a drive-thru option that doesn’t cost any money AND reminds you to check yo self.
This is for ANYONE. And you don’t HAVE to drive thru. I plan to WALK thru and hangout and chat and let my kid entertain the drive-thru cars (not really. But kind of). But truly, it’s for men and women. Young and old. Those with risk factors. Those without. Because breast cancer doesn’t discriminate. So neither does breakfast.
So please. Stop into the Big Breakfast on Friday and enjoy a big dose of goodness to end your week right.
And if you can’t stop in for breakfast (but really, you can) then please, please, please take your future into your own hands (literally) and do not skip your self-breast exam this month and next. Do not let yourself put off another annual exam. Or a mammogram.
And seriously. Don’t skip breakfast. Especially when it’s free.
…
mark your calendar to drive thru on your way to work, school, or your day of leisure. And FRIEND… check your breast. Your diagnosis may be right under your nose (like, on your breast).
+this is not a sponsored post or an ad. I adore Nebraska Medicine and I will do anything including give them the shirt off my back due to the fact that they saved my life and gave me the treatments and tools to kick cancer to the curb.
