Month Ten Highlights
- Jonah wears 9 and 12 month clothes and made the jump to size 3 dipes.
- After a successful weigh-in {3rd %} at his 9 month appointment, we cut the night feeding! On average J bird sleeps from about 7:30 or 8:00 in the eve to about 7:00 in the morn.
- Jonah’s been crawling all over the place with ease for about 2 months now. Continues to pull himself up on everything and does not enjoy much that keeps him stationary.
- We’ve got lots of jibber jabber from mr. Jonah. MaMaMa, BaBaBa, LaLaLa and DaDaDa can be heard randomly and Jbird can also be seen shaking his head no with some frequency.
- Right before the end of the month nine, {after visiting the dear doc 5 times from month 7.5-9.5}, Jonah lands his 6th ear infection which was followed by a tummy virus. He has some major tummy issues with antibiotic treatment as is…so we attempt to keep those short and sweet, and accompanied by Culturelle.
- Jonah {knock on wood} has been rocking the naps since my last update! He takes a morning and an afternoon nap, generally each about an hour. He goes into his crib awake and rarely {extremely rarely} cries before falling asleep. I never thought we’d get here!!
- Jonah’s GI intolerance
- Jonah has been on Culturelle daily for the last month and a half and we’ve seen much improvement with his digestive system. Also, after much constipation, the little cuddler does a shot of prune juice and miralax each morning to reduce the rabbit pellet business from his bum.
- Jonah’s GERD/Reflux
- Prevacid is OUT!! Yay!! And we’re saving $100 per month!
- Food! We had to go backwards on foods as Jonah’s gut was no longer doing well. We went back to basics but are now gearing up on finger foods again. He eats. And eats. Truly… the kid ate two bananas, a piece of toast, a cup of strawberries, 8 oz of puree, and a waffle the other morning for breakfast. He screams and grunts to let us know very adamantly what he desires.
- Jonah’s fave toys are generally anything that he can chew on. He likes tapping the music sticks together. He loves big brother B’s smurfs. He still has a fascination with duplo legos and he is starting to enjoy “his” house.
- No teeth yet but a bump has set up shop and is making itself quite known and quite a nuisance to J bird.
- Jonah does some very adorable babbling and also some very annoying shrieking and screaming. He’s become quite vocal. I don’t know where he would get that.
- Month 9 was ROUGH but month 10 somewhat redeemed itself. Jonah seems to finally be in a more content place…for a baby:). His smiles are the sweetest…if you can snag them. He’s quite the studier of people and it should be known that he will read your soul should he lay eyes on you. All in all, the two boys are doing well together and we are enjoying this ramblin’ man.
